Data Privacy

Last updated: March 24, 2026

1. Introduction

Bridge ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it when you use our website, documentation, blog, newsletter, and open-source repositories.

2. Data Controller

Bridge is the data controller for the personal data described in this policy. For any privacy-related inquiries, contact us at privacy@bridge.ls.

3. Information We Collect

The data we collect depends on how you interact with our services:

Website (hosted by Vercel)

When you visit our website, Vercel may collect your IP address, browser user agent, pages visited, and request timestamps through standard server logs. Vercel Analytics, if enabled, uses a cookieless, privacy-focused approach and does not store personally identifiable information.

Documentation (hosted by Mintlify)

Our documentation site may collect IP addresses, pages viewed, and search queries you enter. Mintlify uses PostHog for analytics, which may set cookies (e.g. ph_*) to track sessions and usage patterns.

Blog

Our blog is self-hosted as part of our website on Vercel. When you read our blog, standard server log data (IP address, pages viewed) may be collected by Vercel through its hosting infrastructure. No additional third-party tracking is used on the blog.

Newsletter (powered by Brevo)

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and, if provided, your name. We also record your IP address and the timestamp of your subscription as proof of consent. Brevo tracks email engagement (opens and clicks) through tracking pixels and redirect links.

GitHub

Our source code is hosted on GitHub. Visits to our repositories are governed by GitHub's Privacy Statement. GitHub acts as an independent data controller for data collected on their platform.

Mintlify Inc.Documentation hostingUS
Brevo (Sendinblue)Email marketing & newsletterFrance / EU
GitHub (Microsoft)Code hostingUS

We do not sell your personal data. Data is shared with these providers only to the extent necessary to operate our services.

6. Legal Basis for Processing

Under the GDPR, we process personal data on the following bases:

  • Legitimate interest — server logs, analytics, and security monitoring to operate and improve our services.
  • Consent — newsletter subscriptions and non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation — where required to comply with applicable laws.

7. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers are based in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs), Data Processing Agreements (DPAs), or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework as appropriate. Brevo stores data in the EU by default.

8. Data Retention

  • Server logs — retained for up to 30 days.
  • Newsletter subscribers — retained until you unsubscribe, then deleted within a reasonable period.
  • Analytics data— retained per each provider's default retention period.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Restrict or object to processing.
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@bridge.ls.

10. Newsletter

Our newsletter is delivered through Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), a France/EU-based email marketing provider. When you subscribe, we use a double opt-in process to confirm your consent. Each email includes an unsubscribe link. We track email opens and link clicks to measure engagement. You can opt out at any time by clicking "Unsubscribe" in any email or by contacting us directly.

11. Open-Source Contributions

If you contribute to Bridge on GitHub, be aware that your git commit history (including your name and email address) becomes a permanent part of the public repository. Interactions on GitHub (issues, pull requests, discussions) are governed by GitHub's Privacy Statement.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be indicated by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
